Authentication error 401 although im sure my api is all ok

I've just installed goose after failing so many agents and CLIs before...
had trouble running gemma 4 locally using the goose app so I moved to API
I have a functioning openrouter api that I tested and it works perfectly
I select any free model and get the output

once I type any message:
"Ran into this error: Authentication error: Authentication failed. Status: 401 Unauthorized. Response: User not found..

Please retry if you think this is a transient or recoverable error."

I configured it through the app itself went to models selected openai provider tried multiple models big small made sure to close goose fully from task manager and it's processes

and it will keep saying the same thing once I send it any message

I installed opencode.... told it that the bot of goose said check your environment and it fixed it, when I said hey to the goose for the first time it said some weird stuff as it has previous instruction and todo list exact one that opencode does it.... I really don't wanna format my pc although it has nothing but games on it but it's still annoying, wish I could nuke everything about ai and then just install goose...
