Summary

Systematic removal of unused imports across the entire codebase, identified via pyflakes/autoflake and manually reviewed.

What changed

• Removed ~100 unused stdlib imports (os, sys, json, pathlib.Path, time, shutil, etc.)
• Removed unused typing imports (List, Dict, Any, Optional, Tuple, Set, Iterable)
• Removed unused internal imports (hermes_cli.auth, hermes_cli.config, model_tools, etc.)
• Fixed cli.py: removed 8 shadowed banner imports (imported from hermes_cli.banner then immediately redefined locally — only build_welcome_banner is actually used from the import)

What was carefully preserved

Imports that appear unused to static analysis but serve a purpose were kept with # noqa: F401 comments:

• Re-exports: gateway/session.py → SessionResetPolicy (used by gateway/__init__.py), tools/terminal_tool.py → is_interrupted/_interrupt_event (imported by code_execution_tool.py and process_registry.py)
• SDK presence checks: from daytona import Daytona, import fal_client, import discord inside try/except blocks
• Test mock targets: auxiliary_client.py → Path, mcp_config.py → get_hermes_home (patched by test mocks)

Test results

6162 passed, 200 skipped, 23 deselected, 26 warnings
2 pre-existing failures (test_streaming.py — unrelated)

Zero behavioral changes.
